Use a self leveling sealant such as dyco flow seal caulk to seal roof joints. Wipe up any spills or drips with an old rag so that the goo doesn t do. The sealing process of a leaky fiberglass roof is not too different from its rubber counterpart. We were able to rebuild the roof and now have a like new camper but the amount of time it took to complete made it quite the project.

Apply the goo to the cracks in your pop up roof. Inspect all seams yearly and touch up any cracks with the sealer to ensure you never suffer water damage. We figured out how to fix it by removing all of the water damaged wood and then rebuilding the roof structure and reattaching the aluminum skin. Apply additional layers of tar and sealant on top of the tape to finish the process.

The idea was good no seams for water to leak in etc but in reality the abs roof didn t hold up on most trailers. In case there are substantial damages fill the holes with roof patching tar and cover them with fiberglass tape. The material will dry very quickly so be sure to work as fast as possible.
