Remember the thickness of the top coat should be 5 to 10mm.

If you want to apply a single coat of plaster make sure it is no thicker than 10 to 15 mm.
The open texture promotes a good mechanical bond between the plaster and the masonry.
The thickness of the finish coat applied over the undercoat should be 2mm.
The thickness of the undercoat used in conjunction with thistle bond it or other bonding agents should not exceed 11mm for walls and 8mm for soffits.
Open textured concrete masonry units laid with flush non tooled joints should be specified on walls intended to be plastered.
Step 5 care of your plastered walls.
After the plastered concrete walls have dried you can paint them or apply wallpaper.
New concrete masonry walls should be properly aligned and free from any surface contamination such as mortar droppings or sand.
Leave it rough if you prefer a textured look.

15 mm cement plaster is required on the rough side of 9 and 4 5 wall.
12 mm thick cement plaster is done where the plain surface of brick masonry is plastered.
When relying on a bonding agent gypsum plaster should be applied to no more than a maximum thickness of 1 2inch.
